Two hurricanes may make landfall in the United States next week

On August 21, local time, according to the forecast of the National Hurricane Center of the United States, two tropical cyclones are active in the Gulf of Mexico and may land in the form of tropical storm or hurricane at the same time in the early part of next week. Tropical storm Laura is expected to enter the Gulf of Mexico on Sunday morning and is expected to strengthen into a category 1 hurricane around Tuesday, reaching the Texas and Louisiana coastlines and possibly landing. Tropical Storm Marco is likely to arrive on the southern coast of Florida on Monday and intensify into a category 1 hurricane around Tuesday, landing on the Alabama coastline and other places. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration of the United States, there are few precedents of two tropical cyclones entering the Gulf at the same time. The last time they appeared was in 1933.
