On December 20 in Nanjing, the Symposium on “30 years of peace keeping: Chinese Army’s re departure” co sponsored by the center for peace keeping affairs of the Ministry of national defense and the school of international relations of the University of Defense Science and technology was successfully concluded in Nanjing on December 19. More than 60 experts and scholars from 24 military and civilian units, including relevant departments of state organs, relevant departments of the Military Commission and think tanks of military and civilian peacekeeping academies, conducted discussions and exchanges with relevant leaders, and achieved fruitful results. < / P > < p > this seminar was held on the occasion of our army’s participation in UN peacekeeping operations for 30 years. The meeting reviewed the achievements and contributions of our army’s participation in UN peacekeeping operations for 30 years, summarized the experience and shortcomings, and analyzed the problems and challenges. The participants discussed such issues as the participation of Chinese military in UN peacekeeping operations and the construction of a community of shared future for mankind, the future development direction of China’s participation in UN peacekeeping operations, the capacity building of Chinese military in UN peacekeeping operations, the increase of international peacekeeping efficiency, and the construction of a peacekeeping theoretical system with Chinese characteristics, so as to provide references for our military to participate in UN peacekeeping operations from a new starting point Many constructive suggestions were put forward.
