North Korea holds a meeting of the Government Affairs Bureau, and Kim Jong Un presides over the decision to provide assistance to Kaesong

The fourth Government Affairs Bureau meeting of the Seventh Central Committee of the workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) was held at the headquarters building of the CPC Central Committee on May 5, with Kim Jong Un, chairman of the WPK, presiding over the meeting, the KCNA reported. According to the report, the meeting learned about the epidemic prevention situation and detailed report of Kaicheng city which was completely blocked according to the country’s largest emergency system, and discussed and decided that the Central Committee of the Korean labor party should provide special assistance to the people in the blockaded areas and allocate food and living subsidies. The meeting also instructed relevant departments to take corresponding emergency measures.
