India’s new “Snow Mountain” stealth frigate launched

New Delhi, December 14 the “Snow Mountain” stealth frigate built by the Indian Navy in gargeda shipyard, Bangladeshi, West Bengal, was launched on December 14. < p > < p > at the launching ceremony, Indian defense chief of staff Bipin ravat said that the completion of the “Snow Mountain” stealth frigate will greatly improve the defense capability of the Indian Navy. < / P > < p > according to Indian media reports, “Snow Mountain” frigate is the first of three stealth frigates built by Calcutta shipyard, which will be equipped with long-range anti-ship and anti-aircraft missiles as well as anti submarine weapons. The ship is 149 meters long, with a displacement of about 6670 tons and a speed of 28 knots. It is expected to be delivered to the navy in 2023 after the completion of the test. The other two ships will be delivered in 2024 and 2025 respectively.
