A few days ago, the general office of the China Disabled Persons’ Federation printed and issued the guidelines for the protection of the disabled in major infectious diseases, which provides general guidelines for the self-protection of the disabled in their families, communities and service institutions for the disabled during the outbreak of major infectious diseases, and also puts forward protection requirements for the service institutions for the disabled. < p > < p > < p > < p > the guide points out that after the disabled persons who use assistive devices enter the institutions, it is advisable to carry out preventive disinfection on the parts of assistive devices in contact with the ground and the surface of assistive devices in high frequency contact. “One for one person, one for use and one for disinfection” should be carried out for rehabilitation teaching aids and rehabilitation equipment materials in public areas. According to the requirements of epidemic prevention and control and the physical and mental characteristics of the disabled, the institutions set up isolation observation areas, clean and maintain the isolation observation areas regularly, and disinfect them timely after use. In addition, institutions should be familiar with the emergency response plan for epidemic prevention; for the disabled who are boarding or full-time nurseries in institutions, the “one person, one case” protection measures should be established according to the needs.
