Former general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam

Hanoi on August 7, according to the Vietnam News Agency, former general secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Li kepiao, died in Hanoi in the early hours of the 7th, at the age of 89. Li kepiao died at 2:52 a.m. on the 7th because he was old and frail and was well treated by experts and doctors as well as his family’s wholehearted care during his illness, the report said. His memorial service and funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Ricobyu was born in Dongxi Township, Dongshan County, Qinghua Province in December 1931. He joined Indochina in June 1949 and served as an important post of Vietnamese party, government and army. Li kepiao was elected General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam at the Fourth Plenary Session of the Eighth Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam in December 1997. During his tenure as general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Li kepiao visited China in 1999.
