China’s maritime police seized the first suspected palladium smuggling case

On November 25, Guangzhou, China’s coast police recently seized a suspected palladium smuggling case near Xiaogui old wharf in Daya Bay, Huizhou, Guangdong. Four suspects were arrested at the scene, three vehicles were seized, and 61 kg of palladium worth 30 million yuan was seized. This case is the first suspected palladium smuggling case seized by China’s coast police. On the evening of the 11th, Guangdong Huizhou coast guard received a report that there were suspected smuggling activities in the area under its jurisdiction. After verifying and analyzing the information, the Bureau quickly sent motorboats and vehicles to the target area to carry out joint land and sea investigation. When the time is ripe for the arrest, the law enforcement officers of the Bureau immediately came forward to control the suspected vehicles and personnel, and seized the palladium suspected of smuggling.
